形態特徵

• Perennial herbs, 40–100 cm tall; stems and branches quadrangular, densely pubescent.
• Leaves oblong, 5–12 cm long, 3–5 cm wide, acuminate at both ends, prominently densely sericeous-velvety on both surfaces.
• Inflorescence a terminal or axillary elongate spike, 2–10 cm long; peduncles whitish tomentose; bracts ovate-oblong, margins ciliate; bracteoles 2, spinescent, as long as perianth, 4–5 mm long; stamens 5, staminodes truncate, with obsolete teeth on upper margins.
• Utricles cylindrical, ca. 3 mm long.

分布

• 台灣 : edges of forests and along roadsides in the central and northern parts of the island.
• 世界 : Tropical Asia, and the Ryukyus?
